See this advertisement above? It has prompted the New York City authority to ban ads it believes can "incite or provoke violence."
The other day, an MSNBC contributor Mona Eltahawy was caught on video spray-painting over this advertisement, which hangs in a New York subway station. Eltahawy was also caught on video saying, "I hate Israel!"
The thing is, when you limit free speech in this manner, it usually targets one side of the equation. And the other side -- the vandalizing journalist -- isn't expected to take responsibility for acting irrationally.
In other words, every time a whiny liberal throws a temper-tantrum over something that offends them -- rather than disciplining the bad liberal and explaining to him/her that, in a free country, those with opposing views are allowed to express their opinions, as well -- the parent (in this case, the government) appeases the whiny child by giving in and taking the ad down.
By the way, this anti-Jihad ad is a counter argument to multiple anti-Israel ads that have been running in New York for the past few years now.
Because this ad supposedly "incited violence," it will probably be removed -- while the anti-Israel ads remain.
The end result: Passers-by get ONE side of the story. This is what happens when you limit free speech. The government as well as the media elites it controls dictate the narrative.
