The entire coutry of Israel is equivilent to the size of the state of New Jersey. The disputed land is known as the West Bank, which Israel recaptured in 1967 after a surprise attack by the Arabs. The war became known as the Six-Day war. The Arabs launched another surprise attack (known as the Yom Kippur War) in 1973 and lost.

The Jerusalem Post Deputy Managing Editor Caroline Glick had some tough words for both the Obama administration and international community regarding how the Middle East peace negotiations are being handled as well as the tactics being employed to force Israel into a so-called "peace agreement" with the Palestinian Authority.
In a Feb. 5 interview with TheBlaze's Glenn Beck, Glick said, the United Nations is coercing companies around the world to boycott businesses based in Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank.
"A lot of it is directed by governments themselves and not by businesses" explained Glick, a Chicago native who earned her Master's in public policy at Harvard University and served in the Israeli Defense Force for five years. "The government in Washington is also encouraging the boycotts."
"I think that the problem is that there's no way that Israel can appease the United States," she added. "The boycott is not about Israel. It is about the boycotters and their hate towards the Jewish state."
Beck backed up her assertions by citing a string of White House ties to the organization leading the Israeli boycott known as Oxfam, which recently pressured Hollywood starlet Scarlett Johansson to step down from her position as global ambassador over her decision to partner with the Israeli company SodaStream.
He said TheBlaze's research revealed Secretary of State John Kerry's wife Teresa Heinz, heir to the Heinz Ketchup fortune, as a major donor to Oxfam. The Tides Foundation, launched by billionaire/currency manipulator George Soros, also donates large sums of money to Oxfam. Soros, a German Jew, survived the Holocaust by persecuting his own people. He is on record stating that he regrets none of his actions.
Additionally, John Kerry is a big contributor to Soros' Tides Foundation; and in early 2012, President Obama's White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett spoke at an Oxfam event.
That said, Beck said he believes the Obama Administration is purposely creating a situation that would prompt the United Nations to act and impose its will on the Jewish state under a doctrine known as "Responsibility to Protect." R2P calls for intervention in civil wars when government leaders of the country in conflict fail to protect their civilian populations in harm's way.
R2P was invoked in March of 2011 during the Libyan civil war.
Beck also pointed to Obama's new Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power, a 1960s Marxist radical who is married to Cass Sustein, Obama's regulatory czar. Powers is a huge promoter of R2P and is closely linked to George Soros, who funded a group to push the implementation of the U.N. doctrine.
Here is what Samantha Power said during an interview at UC Berkley's Institute of International Studies 12 years ago in 2002:
"[W]hat we need is a willingness to put something on the line in helping the situation. Putting something on the line might mean alienating a domestic constituency of tremendous political and financial import; it may more crucially mean sacrificing -- or investing, I think, more than sacrificing -- billions of dollars, not in servicing Israel's military, but actually investing in the new state of Palestine, in investing the billions of dollars it would probably take, also, to support what will have to be a mammoth protection force, not of the old Rwanda kind, but a meaningful military presence. Because it seems to me at this stage (and this is true of actual genocides as well, and not just major human rights abuses, which were seen there), you have to go in as if you're serious, you have to put something on the line."
It's essential that some set of principles becomes the benchmark, rather than a deference to [leaders] who are fundamentally politically destined to destroy the lives of their own people. … I do think in that sense, both political leaders have been dreadfully irresponsible. And, unfortunately, it does require external intervention…Any intervention is going to come under fierce criticism. But we have to think about lesser evils, especially when the human stakes are becoming ever more pronounced.”Glick went on to point out another anti-Israel organization known as Code Pink, a women's progressive/liberal activist organization in the United States that took part in the May 31, 2010, "Freedom Gaza Flotilla" intentioned to break the Israeli-Egyptian blockade in the Gaza strip. She said John Kerry is on record commending the group for its various "social justice" efforts.
The flotilla caused a media frenzy when Israeli naval commandos boarded the ships from speedboats and helicopters in order to force the ships to the Israeli port of Ashdod for inspection for potential terrorist activities. The Israeli navy faced staunch resistance from the activists, who were armed with iron bars and knives. Nine activists died and several others were injured.
Predictably, Israel was blamed by the international community for the deaths -- despite ongoing terror threats and bombings Israelis face on a daily basis by those who hate them simply because their race. Glick also pointed out that neither the Turkish nor Egyptian government would assist the flotilla in breaking the blockade because they were aware of the terrorist ties of those on board the ship.
It was a media stunt, plain and simple, to turn the international community against the Jewish state, she said.
Despite the boycott and constant terror threats and bombings, Glick said, Israel's economy is strong, especially when compared to other countries around the world including the United States.
"[President Obama] has been humiliating [Israeli President] Benjamin Netanyahu,” Beck added. “He has called for the return to the 1967 borders. He’s slammed Israeli settlements. He supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt … which made everything much more unstable.”
Ishmael and Israel will never agree on the issues, according to OT prophets. Nice article. Thanks for posting.
